Overview

When working with agar plates, a lot of times we see them with a T number, and you may have even heard the term "transfer three times". This page will demonstrate and explain the concept and method of the "3 transfer" methodology.

Genetic Selection

One of the desirable genetics of any cultivable mushroom species is fast colonization. This leads to less risk of contamination of the growing medium, faster lifecycle from inoculation to harvest, and stronger mycelium.
